Meaning of the colors on charging thermostat

I am charging my thermostat via USB, and I know that the flashing light means it is charging. How do I know what charge level is and when it is done charging? Will the light stop blinking?

A blinking red light at the top of your thermostat’s display means that the battery charge is very low but it’s being charged. The display should eventually light up with a message asking you to connect it to the base. Reconnect the display to the thermostat base. Press firmly until you hear it click into place. If the blinking red light doesn’t go away or keeps coming back, refer to the "1. Blinking red light on your thermostat" section of the help article linked below.

Hello folks,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for the input, @davidking.

@RRooney, in addition to what was mentioned above, please make sure that the wires on your Nest Thermostat's base are properly connected and the tabs are pushed down before putting the display back on its base. In case it did turn on but a wiring report appears, if you have a C-wire, try removing it and leaving it disconnected to see if there is a difference.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Mark
