This morning we have discovered that there is no hot water and the Best thermostat is reporting low power. There have been no power cuts or similar issues.
I have removed the best thermostat from the wall cradle and I am charging it via USBC cable. The green light is flashing.
Are the Batteries rechargeable? How long does it take? How do I prevent this from happening again

"nest" thermostat obviously

Hi KeveenM,
Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. An hour of charging will be enough for the Nest Thermostat to have an ideal battery level for it to stay connected to a Wi-Fi network. Also, considering having a C wire or Nest Power Connector will let your thermostat get sufficient power.
Best,
Jenelyn

Hi thanks for getting back to me. I realised that the reason for the dead thermostat was in fact due to the fact that the Heatsink no longer had power. I have a replacement headsink on the way and a Nest Specialist ready to install. Thanks again.

Hi there @pnelson585! I'm sorry for the late reply, but I'll do my best to help. Could you please respond to the following set of questions?
What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
Do you have more than one thermostat? If there's more than one thermostat, do the others behave the same?
Is the thermostat display on a stand?
When did the issue start?
Is there a wiring report or error message on your thermostat and/or app?
Do you see a blinking LED light? If so, is it red or green?
Has there been any recent work done on your thermostat(s) or heating system?
Were there any power outages?
Were there any modifications to the internet configuration (for example: added extenders)?
Is the thermostat display responsive when interacting with it?
