Nest thermostat not connecting

I have my new nest setup.   I followed the wiring procedures and everything.   When I plug it in the app will not connect to it.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. What do you see on your thermostat display when you plug it into the base? What's the exact message are you getting? Is this your first time setting it up? Also, what country are you located in?
