We installed a Nest Learning Thermostat about three weeks ago and love the sleek design and easy programming. However, after the system turns on the A/C at the proper temperature level, it never shuts back off, and we have to turn off the HVAC power.
We verified the wiring and the temperature settings, but nothing works to turn off the A/C once it has come on other than turning off the HVAC power, so we returned the thermostat for a new one.
The new one arrived today. We installed the new thermostat, and it started "Updating Software." That's fine, it has likely been sitting in a box on a shelf through multiple updates. However, that was approximately 1.5 hours ago, and it still says Updating Software.
Does anyone have any solutions for the Software Update loop?

@olylady , one thing you can try is to cause a forced reboot. Press and hold a display in until the display goes blank and you’ll see the Google G show up for a moment. Release and let it restart.
