The set temp will not go below 50 BUT you can set a safety temp which overrides the thermostat all together. In other words, if the thermostat is set to off and safety temp is turned on, Nest won’t let the temp drop below the safety temp set. And fortunately for you, the lowest value available in safety temp is 35.
Thanks, Dan. One more question: Can I turn off the safety temperature remotely? I may want to turn it off COMPLETETLY - no water pipes. But there are times when I don't want even the safety temp.
I wanted to follow up and ensure everyone is good to go, and everything is working properly. Please let me know if you are still having trouble, as I will be locking the thread in 24 hours due to inactivity.
