At your furnace Disconnect blue wire from Y & put it to C along with the existing red wire

Leave the white wire connect to Y & put the not used yellow wire with it.
at the nest put blue wire to C & yellow wire to Y / Y1 good luck

Put the blue wire at furnace on C & use un-used yellow wire to Y on furnace. So wiring at nest will go as follows
red to R or Rc or Rh
yellow to Y or Y1

green to G

White to W

blue to C

Good luck.

Just to be clear.

1. Disconnect the blue wire from “Y” and plug into “C”. What do I do with the existing white wire connected to the “Y” leave it in or take it out? If taking it out where do I plug it or leave it disconnected?

2. What do I do with the red wire plug in “C” leave it in or take it out when I plug the blue wire in?

thank you for your help
