Nest Connect Error Code NA004

JulianSmithCos

Hello,

Had my Nest Connect working great with my Yale lock and then deleted the Nest Connect from my Nest App while trying to get my wife's phone to control our lock. Now when I try to add the Nest Connect to my Nest app, I keep getting an error code NA004(0.80). My wi-fi works great. That's what I am using to post this question. What can I be doing wrong to the Nest Connect? Is there any way to get it to work again. Many thanks. Cheers!

Try the troubleshooting steps detailed in this help article:

Thanks.

Thanks.

I tried all of those steps but nothing seems to make a difference.

How do I get rid of the NA004 error. My wi-fi works great.

What happened when you tried those steps? Did anyone of them improve the situation?

Is your Nest Connect online and working normally?

Nothing really changed. We have pressed the button until the light turns blue, and we have pressed it until it turns yellow. We can never get the Nest Connect to reset the wireless connection. I would like to get it to where I can reset up the wireless connection. Then I am sure the NA004 error will be fixed. How come resetting it to factory default doesn't allow you to get back into the wireless setup? Many thanks.

Resetting it is a bit tricky to do. First make sure it's connected to power, then press and hold the button until the light turns yellow. Don't press the button again or you will cancel the reset. Wait for the light to be blue, which means it has been successfully reset and is ready for setup.

Thanks for the suggestion. I plugged it into the wall, waited until all the lights were dark, and pressed the button until it turned yellow. Then I immediately let the button go. I waited until all the lights were off again. Then I used the app to scan the barcode. After  the app prompted me to, I pressed the button on the Nest Connect to turn blue. The app keeps telling me my Nest Connect can't connect to my wireless network. All I want to do is set the wireless back up on the Nest Connect. Then I am sure it will work. I just can't figure out how to do it. It worked the first time I set it up...

Here is a great article that goes over the error codes, what they mean and some troubleshooting steps to go along with it. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Brad.

I just purchased a Nest x Yale lock with the Nest Connect.  The lock itself was easy to setup, but I can't seem to get past the NA004 error.  I use a Google WiFi system and have a Netgear C7000v2 modem/router combination that I had previously turned off the Wireless capabilities of it since installing the Google WiFi mesh system.  As of this morning, I have re-enabled the wireless on the Netgear with only 2.4ghz enabled.  My SSID is being broadcasted and I have left it unsecured for testing purposes.  I have 2 Nest thermostats installed and I took one of those and added it to the newly made unsecured network since the Nest Connect is looking for an assisting device.  Nothing is working at this point that I have tried.  Please help.
