Nest app on Nvidia Shield

VictorCharlie
Community Member

App on Nvidia Shield TV is old-school pre-2019, and requires a google log-on password. All other devices that can see the Nest line of products on my wifi network log-on with 'log in with google'. I suppose so that Google Home and Google Assistant are all linked together using the same LAN.

Is there any updated app or any advice on how to log in the the app using my google password.

I'm not sure I entirely understand your problem, but the Nest app for Android TV is pretty much dead.  It only works with old Nest accounts and not Google accounts.  If you're a new user since the changeover to Google accounts or have migrated you can no longer use the Android TV nest app.
