The Nest x Yale lock was keep offline since yesterday. Trying to do a factory reset but it’s not working. Follow the steps but the light doesn’t turn red and the lock doesn’t say “Just a moment, erasing all settings.
Lock is also removed from the app. Trying to add it back but stuck at connecting with the lock, keep on pressing the button at the back but just saying privacy mode is on or off.
Please advise if there’s any connecting issue with the lock. Thank you!

I found it very tricky to achieve a successful reset. You have to push the small button that's not easily accessible while inserting the batteries on the other side of the unit. It's a two-person job. I pushed the button with the tip of screwdriver while my wife inserted the final battery. Previously, we'd tried multiple times and failed to get the reset to happen. When it did, everything went according to the manual and after nearly 2 days we could finally reconnect to the next connect.
