Nest thermostat is defective

Just had a professional hvac confirm my “new” nest thermostat is defective.  Any one know how I can return it for a refund?  Purchased thru my electric provider.

Contact your electrical supplier that provided you the Nest thermostat. Since you received it from and third party, the third party needs to replace it.  

NestPro, Google Pro, Mechanical Engineer and HVAC service company owner.
