Reset Nest Temperature Sensor to factory settings

I need to add my existing sensors to my new phone. When I scan the QR code, it says my sensor are already connected to an account. I tried removing the batteries from all of them for about an hour to reset but that did nothing. HELP! Is it at all possible to reset these sensors?

Another user reported they needed to leave the battery out for 48 hours. It might also be worth trying inserting a new different battery.

It worked! I ended up leaving the batteries out for 72 hours (not on purpose), so I can't say for sure that 48 hours would've worked, but I'm glad 72 did the trick.

I left the battery out of the sensor for several days and that seemed to have been what it took.

I'll try that, thanks. If that doesn't work, I'll put in new batteries. Thanks for offering a couple of possible solutions!

@dishee, chiming in to ensure everything is good here. Have you had the chance to try the suggestion above? If yes, how is it?

Best,
Mel

I have this problem too. No luck with removing the battery. Any other magic to try?

You have to leave the battery out for at least 48 hours. It worked for me (72 hours) so give it a try.

Please make sure that you're logged in with the same email address that was used when you added your Nest Temperature Sensor in the Nest App. If so, check for other available structures where you might add it.
