I did a factory reset and can't find the device using the app. The app keeps asking for the code, but the device doesn't display a code. It only displays "continue setup in the google home app" in English and Spanish.

If you're being prompted to setup in the Google Home app, that means you have Nest Thermostat (2020).
Try these steps:
You can also tap "continue without scanning" and enter the code on the back of the thermostat display.
