Restarting after a factory reset

I did a factory reset and can't find the device using the app.  The app keeps asking for the code, but the device doesn't display a code.  It only displays "continue setup in the google home app" in English and Spanish.

If you're being prompted to setup in the Google Home app, that means you have Nest Thermostat (2020).

Try these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2.  In the upper left corner, tap Add + > Set up device > New devices > Choose a home.
  3. The app will search for devices that you can add. If it doesn't find your thermostat, select Thermostat > Nest Thermostat.
  4. Scan the QR code on the back of your Nest Thermostat display. It is not displayed on the screen.

You can also tap "continue without scanning" and enter the code on the back of the thermostat display.
