Hi Arthur,

You can remove an old Protect from the Nest app by following the instructions below:
  1. From the main app homepage, tap the settings cog in the top right
  2. Select Protect from the list of options you are presented with
  3. Select the Protect you wish to remove from the list
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page where you will find the option to "Remove Nest Protect"
Hopefully this helps but if you need any more assistance, let me know.

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience on your Nest Protect. To better understand this issue, If possible, can you send the screenshot of the settings of your Nest Protect from the Nest App. Also have you tried to reinstall the Nest App from your phone?

Keep us posted.

Thanks,
Emerson

Finally done!

In fact, you have to open the app, tap Protect, tap Settings (upper right corner), tap Protects (the location of your device: Hallway, kitchen etc.), scroll down...and there you will see Remove Nest Protect.

HELP!!!!!

I'm having a similar issue. I reset my network password and then reset my nest connect, and now my old Nest Protect (2nd Gen) won't connect. I factory reset the device, but now I can't add a new one BECAUSE I CANT REMOVE THE OLD DEVICE FROM MY ACCOUNT. There is no "Remove" button in the app

Hi, having the same issue. I cannot find at all the remove option. And the device is no longer responding to the app controls. Did you find any solution? Many thanks!

..........

Found it: you have to open the app, tap Protect, tap Settings (upper right corner), tap Protects (the location of your device: Hallway, kitchen etc.), scroll down...and there you will see Remove Nest Protect.
