Pic of the month: Halloween spirits arise during the spooky season. Can you top this during the holiday season?

Google joins in on a scary fun time, or does it? Although Halloween is over, we want to share a ghostly encounter a Google Nest user shared on r/GoogleHome on Reddit. @Leticia

You say above that "The Google Home app got an upgrade." That's not exactly accurate. The upgraded Google Home app is out for "Public Preview" only, and many of us who signed up to have access have yet to receive an invite.

Hello! I recently migrated from Nest to Google and since doing so have been unable to connect my sensor with my Nest Learning Thermostat. It tells me to "find a closer spot and try again", but no matter where I move it, it still will not connect (even had it in the same room as the thermostat. I tried the trouble shooting guidelines on Google and replaced battery and still nothing. Any advise other than buy a new sensor? Thanks!

I seem to have two TV’s on my home app although I have only ‘registered’ one and I can’t seem to be able to delete the one that says it’s off-line. How do I remove the unwanted TV. I’ve tried touching and holding the ‘tile’ but I just get a message that it’s off-line, any help would be appreciated, cheer’s Fennster

Try these steps:

  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Rooms and groups.
  • Tap the room the device was assigned to.
  • Tap the device.
  • Tap Remove device.

If those steps don't work, try these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap your photo or initials at the top right.
  3. Tap Assistant settings.
  4. Tap Devices.
  5. Tap the device.
  6. Tap Unlink this device.
