2 accounts how do I merge into one

Can't get Nest Aware to work even though it has always worked before. When I sign in the app says that email is already used.

Google Home App not showing thermostat energy dashboard for Nest

I have the Nest termostat 3rd gen, I have migrate the account to google, but in the Home app i don't see the energy history.I have an EU version.

Two different apps - Nest & Google Home

Why are there still two different apps, after all this time of Nest being under the Google umbrella. I am frustrated that I still need to have the two, especially as my old nest thermostats only seem to really listen to the Nest app and my new Google...
