TV not switching off via google home

I just bought a Sony XRA80J and have synced google home. When I ask the TV to turn off, google assist recognises this but does not turn off the tv. Further doesn't turn on either, I've also flicked the physical switch on the side of the tv. Not sure ...

I can’t seem to find out what type of account I have and if I need an upgrade. I go to setting and subscriptions and it is blank. I am confused why it is so hard to know what I have and how to find it. Help!

How do I connect my Mac desktop to google Home?

I tried to download THE HOME APP to turn on the assistant feature because I recently had my phone confiscated and need to use google home for phone calls but it says no. devices paired to this device. Any suggestions on how to pair the two?
