can't add nest hub max from home app as it says it needs activation

Hi,My Home app can "see" the new nest hub max, but it won't let me set it up as it is greyed out and has (needs activation) after it. Any help greatly appreciated

Google Home App not showing thermostat energy dashboard for Nest

I have the Nest termostat 3rd gen, I have migrate the account to google, but in the Home app i don't see the energy history.I have an EU version.

Two different apps - Nest & Google Home

Why are there still two different apps, after all this time of Nest being under the Google umbrella. I am frustrated that I still need to have the two, especially as my old nest thermostats only seem to really listen to the Nest app and my new Google...
