Google mini change default to Bluetooth speaker

If I play spotify on the mini itself, no issue. If I play spotify on my phone to my harman/kardon speaker, no issue. If I play spotify from mini to harmon/kardon, it has a pause or skip at the beginning of each song. Weird. Suggestions?
