smoke sensor problem

My 2 month old nest protect is giving me a smoke sensor problem error. Have cleaned the nest protect as instructed and the error continues. Where do I go from here for a replacement?

Nest Protect Sensor Failure

I am having issues as I get a Sensor Failure alert on my Nest Protect. It is only about 2 yrs old and I do not live in a dusty environment and it is not near steam. This should not fail this short into owning this.
