Display Phone Number Using Nest Hub to Make Calls

Unable to add phone number to Google Home app to display when trying to make a call from Nest Hub. Troubleshooted with support and was ultimately told this is not possible using iphone and to borrow someone’s android. Anyone else seeing this issue?
