Resolved! "invite a person to join duo"

I just tried making a call from my HomeHub Max, to somebody in my address box.It replied "They do not appear to be setup on duo...open the due app on your mobile device and invite them to join" I opened the "Duo App" only to discover it had yet again...

gray screen “G” Logo for 1st generation hub

Seems like I'm doomed, so many threads with the same issue and all with no resolve. As I do not have any buttons to touch I'd love to know how it's my fault that my google hub is stuck with a permanent G on the screen. What is your solution google?
