Nest Cam Battery Wired Cant Mute Live Feed iPhone

Hi, Is there a reason why I can't mute the live feed of the stream on the Nest cam when viewing it in the app using the volume control on my phone?I can mute events that have been recorded.Maybe it's a bug?
