changing wifi

When I installed my Nest Protect I used the "guest" channel of my WiFi router. Since then I have activated the "Iot" channel of my router, and want to know how to tell the NP to use that channel instead, tell it the new password, and so on.

I work for an electrical contractor and have a client wanting to install the Nest Protect in his home. The local code requires that smoke and CO detectors be interconnected even if Wi-Fi is down. I cannot find any technical information regarding this...
