Neat protect smoke alarm

I have 4 nest protects which are on 3.4.1 firmware. How do i update them to newer firmware. Is therre a way to force update?

I am having issues as I get a Sensor Failure alert on my Nest Protect. It is only about 2 yrs old and I do not live in a dusty environment and it is not near steam. This should not fail this short into owning this.
