New Backplate and Nest Connectivity

I need to install a new backplate and disconnect the Nest from the HVAC wiring. Will the Nest keep its settings once I disconnect the wires or will I need to redo the setup?

Feature Request

An option to turn the fan on if there's a definable difference in temperature between sensors would be a big value add. Feels like 10 lines of code since Nest already has an option to turn the fan on/off for definable time periods.
