Chromecast providing two IP and MAC address to modem router

My chromecast has 2 Mac or wifi address both syncing to my modem. I’ve disconnected and unplugged and nothing is changing. Is this a common issue? Can it be fixed so it doesn’t cause traffic on the wifi?

I don't know which Chromecast.

It's not mine. All I know is it keeps connecting to my phone without my permission. And I can't find an option to stop this from happening. Its annoying.

Unplug Chromecast because it disconnects.

Just set up a new Cast 4K. When we switch TV inputs, Cast disconnects and has to be unplugged, then plugged back in. Do we have a setting wrong?

Chromecast with google tv not connecting to WiFi

Hello, had my Chromecast since January 2022. Worked fine until recently won't connect to WiFi. Tried to hot-spot my phone incase its because of my new router. No joy. Factory reset done too.
