Resolved! Remote Pairing Incomplete

Tried all solutions listed in forum. Chromecast Remote with voice begins pairing, MAC address is found, but the search never completes. Buttons for TV control work (volume, source, power on non-smart Samsung) but remote cannot control Google TV.

Chromecast providing two IP and MAC address to modem router

My chromecast has 2 Mac or wifi address both syncing to my modem. I’ve disconnected and unplugged and nothing is changing. Is this a common issue? Can it be fixed so it doesn’t cause traffic on the wifi?

I don't know which Chromecast.

It's not mine. All I know is it keeps connecting to my phone without my permission. And I can't find an option to stop this from happening. Its annoying.

Unplug Chromecast because it disconnects.

Just set up a new Cast 4K. When we switch TV inputs, Cast disconnects and has to be unplugged, then plugged back in. Do we have a setting wrong?
