My Google Nest Thermostat is not retaining power

Display keeps suggesting "the thermostat is restarting. Back in a bit" flashing red light above display.Insufficient power even though plugged in.Not charging seems to be a lot of posts on this but no resolution.

Spinning wheel on Nest app

I have been unable to access the NEST app for several days. I get the spinning wheel of death. I can access via laptop; but not on either of two iPhones. I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times. But no joy!Help please

Can’t turn hot water off

Not a heating issue. It’s a water issue. The thermostat says the hot water is off (and it should be) but the app says the hot water is on (and it is) . Have tried turning water off in the app it doesn’t do any thing. Any ideas please ?
