Chromecast 4 k and audio passthrough

Free has developed an alternative audio driver allowing passthrough of all DTS and Dolby formats for Android TV 10. This one works very well. Why doesn't Google offer an equivalent driver?

Cannot cast Google Photo Album to Chromecast with Google TV 4K

While I CAN cast Google Photos (pics and videos), and CANNOT cast any of my Google Photo Albums. I only see the the Google Photo logo and if audio exists in the album, I can hear that audio. I just upgraded my HD Chromecast to 4K, but still no luck.
