Thermostat independent test

Thermostat change to nest

 my current thermostat has a blue wire connected to the G opening instead of B. It does not have a C option. Should I connect to the G opening on nest as well?

No Power Detected

I'm trying to swap out my Jackson T-32-P thermostat for a nest thermostat. It looks to be wired correctly but it says there's no power.
