Nest battery draing fast and will not connect to wifi

My Nest thermostat has worked perfectly for past 8 months. Suddenly it will not connect to wifi and the battery is draining quickly. I have tried all trouble shooting SEVERAL times. I am at a loss and cannot go without heat in a Michigan Winter. HELP...
