Hold Tempurature

I have the Basic Nest Thermostat because I rad it was the only one that could hold a temperature. I have found that it will hold for a specified period of time. I want to set it and forget it. Is the any way to set a permanent hold?

Th026 error

I keep getting a TH026 error on initial setup. I've followed all suggestions of turning off other devices, resetting devices etc and the thermostat e will not find the heat link no matter what I try. These two devices will not connect to each other
